Analogue recorder is used to record analogue phones, fax (or telefax) devices, radios, intercoms... This recorder based on SmartWORKS™ LD, cards is fully integrated into Audiomemo recording system. To less demanding users, we offer a reliable, tested and cost-effective solution based on Huawei hardware which we sell as a separate product called Analogue call recorder.
There are three types of Audiomemo analogue recorders:
- Call recorder - for recording telephone conversations
- Activity recorder - for recording radio stations
- Continuous recorder - for recording continuously
Analogue call recorder
This type of conversation recorder is most commonly used. The moment when the recording starts is when the handset is lifted, although this criterion may be changed (e.g., recording could be initiated by entering the appropriate key combination, if the user does not want to record all conversations). The recording ends when the connection is terminated. These events are detected by different voltage levels. It is also possible to detect missed calls (ringtone detection), when the recorder will only record the time of call and duration of ringing, but no conversation. If the exchange supports Caller ID forwarding, the recorder will record this piece of information as well. In the case of outgoing calls, the DTMF sequence (i.e., the dialled number) is recorded.
Analogue activity recorder
Audiomemo analogue activity recorder is used for recording radio stations, intercoms, communication in rooms etc. To avoid continuous recording that would result in far more space being occupied and far slower search through the recorded material, the recorder responds to the signal intensity and activates the recording at the moment when the signal exceeds a given threshold over a defined period of time. Similarly, the recording stops when silence is detected.
Continuous analogue recorder
In some applications it is necessary to perform continuous recording of the channel. This is usually the case when a complete recording is necessary regardless of the activity, or when the level of noise in the channel is such that it is difficult to distinguish between noise and the useful signal.
